Remember the Havoc Pit Boss? Today I’m fishing doing some late spring bass fishing with a Texas rig and an old favorite, the Pit Boss. At the first location, I notice the water is still stained brown, from recent rain storms. After fan casting open water for a while, without any luck, I focus on fishing the downed trees. This is where I catch my first bass of the day. I catch a 0.5 pound largemouth bass swimming my pit boss near some lay downs. After not getting any more bites, I try another location, and another. I don’t manage any more fish, but I do learn that a giant tree has fallen at one of my spots, The Log! The Pit Boss did ok, which is more than I can say for the old tree.
