What Happened to the Bass? Why Don’t the Bass Want a Swimbait Now?

In the first episode this week: What happened to the bass around here? Why don’t they want a swimbait now? I was catching some nice bass on the Keitech Swimbait, so I thought I would try it again. I fished it at two different locations, but the action isn’t like it was the day before. I caught a three pounder and a few other nice bass just a day ago! So why won’t they go for it today? I did manage to catch one single bass at the second spot I tried, so its not a total skunk.

I am not sure what happened. The weather has been warm, the water level is good, it seems like similar conditions. Why don’t the bass want the swimbait anymore?

See how it all went down in the video below!

These Bass Were Destroying My Lure On Purpose! Bass Attack Crawfish!

In this episode: Its easy to see these bass were destroying my lure, on purpose. Bass attack crawfish by biting their claws. This is the second time this year that I have had the claws bitten off, and then I catch more fish! I suppose a craw with no claws is an easy target. This is still surprising when it happens. I expect a beautiful fresh lure to be better at catching fish. But that might not be the case. If you want to experience bass destroying your lure on purpose, try fishing with a Texas Rigged Crawfish. They might just attack it like this.

Fishing a FLOODED LAKE for Bass! Catching Big Bass in Shallow Water!

In the final episode this week: Today I am fishing a flooded lake for bass. Catching big bass in shallow water is easy when the lake is flooded. They like to explore the newly accessible water and look for food. Smaller bass also like to explore the new shallows too, so don’t think its only giants. I start out fishing with a wacky rig and catch a big bass, up close to the bank. I soon switch to a weightless rig after missing a couple fish. I quickly catch a few more bass on the new rig too. This is one of my best fishing trips so far this year. If you have a chance to fish a flooded lake for bass, try fishing the shallow areas.
