In this episode we see how I catch my first bass of 2020 while fishing in cold flooded water. I am casting a lipless crankbait where I know there are shad. First I catch a few shad to use as live bait but it turns out that isn’t how I catch today’s fish. I end up actually catching them on the crankbait with a shad technique. In the end, not only do I catch my first bass of the year but I also catch a nice freshwater drum as well. I’m totally excited to get that first bass.
I hope the fishing only gets better from here on out, even if I am stuck fishing cold flooded water for now. Check it out in the video below.
