In this episode of Realistic Fishing: Is beach fishing better than backwater? Beginner saltwater fishing can be tricky, especially when you are on shore. Today I try fishing at the beach, as well as a backwater estuary. I didn’t catch a single fish while at the beach, and I watched at least 10 other fisherman suffer the same fate. After leaving the beach for the tidal canal behind my motel, I finally started catching something. I catch a blue crab, and even a redfish. I also miss a few bites from smaller fish, probably croaker. The beach isn’t always the best place to catch fish, sometimes the inshore fishing is better.
