In this episode I am doing some topwater bass fishing with a weightless fluke vs popper. If the water temperature is unstable, spring bass fishing with topwater can be especially hit and miss. However, if you can find some aggressive fish, you might just catch a big bass. I caught bass on both the popper and the fluke, but the fluke definitely caught the bigger fish today at 3-4 lbs! I was simply dragging it across the top of the weeds and pausing when I got to open water.
The bass I caught on the popper was also in shallow water about 5 feet from the bank. Check it all out in the video below.
