In this episode we go over some float and fly fishing tips for shallow cold water fishing. The water temperature is now below 50 degrees and the bluegill are starting to move up to shallow water. I’m fishing the mouth of a creek with a brightly colored fly and a small float. I then sweeten the deal with a small piece of powerbait honey worm. It gives the fly more of a realistic feel. I catch my biggest bluegill of the season on this simple rig. So go on and try some shallow water float fishing while the water is cold.
