To adjust, I downsize my tackle and switch to using a micro jig head with a Gulp Minnow. After some patience, I manage to catch a few small largemouth bass and bluegill. They may not be huge, but it’s still a rewarding day of fishing. If you’re finding it hard to land fish in the heat, try downsizing like I did—it can make all the difference!

VIDEO 3: Topwater vs Texas Rig – Which Lure Will Catch More Bass?
In this video, I’m testing out two different setups to see which one catches more bass: a topwater lure or a Texas rig. I start with a Lunkerhunt Topwater Popper in a green spotted pattern, and surprisingly, I hook a bass pretty quickly. After some time without another bite, I switch to a Texas rigged worm and manage to catch another fish, even while dealing with a snag near the dock. In the end, both setups get results, making it a close call between the two. Watch and see how the fishing unfolds!
