In this episode of Realistic Fishing: Do the fish still bite when it’s cold outside? Can you catch fish by bank fishing in open water in Winter? Yes you sure can! Fish are cold, but they do still need to eat. I typically end up using live bait like red worms when the fishing is difficult like it is right now. However, the fish are STILL biting! Despite freezing my hands off, I ended up catching a variety of decent bluegill in a short amount of time. And I caught all of those fish on just one worm! I know bank fishing when its cold outside isn’t for everyone but if you wanted to try it, you can still catch some fish in open water!
