Today I am bank fishing at a new fishing spot! This secret fishing spot in actually located in a public park. So its not actually a secret. I was invited to this spot to fish for spring bluegill and shellcracker. I caught not only both of those but also some big golden shiners and even a crappie. We didn't catch any bass today, but the fishing is starting to improve. And, fishing this new location gives me hope for the upcoming fishing season. I was using a simple float rig to catch all of todays fish. Now is the perfect time to go fishing and catch hardly anything. If you aren't catching many fish right now, you are not alone. This time of year, the weather is nicer than the water. Its warm during the day, but still cold at night. The fish might not be as active as you think they are. I fished three busy public locations today and caught only one fish! I even tried a couple of different lures because I couldn't figure them out. Today I am fishing for crappie, bass, and trout, all in one lake! There have been a lot of fish caught on this trip. The trip started a little slow but I really started to catch a lot of fish before it was over. I caught crappie, trout, yellow bass, and bluegill all in one lake, on the same lure! I am fishing with a small BG1 jig head, and small piece of plastic worm. That one lure caught all of these species! Today we will continue exploring and fishing a new lake. Can we catch more fish in this video? Its early Spring and I am out here fishing with i_fish. Last time we caught a few trout, small bass, and a handful of bluegill. This time we find a spot full of yellow bass, more bluegill, and even a crappie! So far that is five different fish, and this is my first time fishing here. Exploring a new lake can be fun, and you can catch a lot of fish. This is my first time fishing this new lake! What kind of fish can I catch here at Marrowbone Lake during early spring? Today I join i_fish for some shallow fishing out in his boat. I try to mimic the rig and fishing style used by i-fish today so I can hopefully catch something. I start out a bit rough, catching a couple of big branches. But I eventually get in to some rainbow trout and bluegill. I-fish was catch a variety of bluegill and small bass. Be sure to watch the next episode. The trip can only get better as I get used to fishing the new location. Today I catch the first bass of the year. This is Realistic Fishing from the bank for 2024. I start out fishing with a small jerkbait. The Salmo Minnow not only catches the first bass of the year, but it also catches a big skipjack on the very next cast. After that action slows down, I switch two a Gulp Minnow, and catch a few more panfish. Things are changing, and spring is on its way. The fishing can only get better from here out, right? Can I catch a fish today? This is what winter fishing from shore is like right now. The first spot I try is The Log, and despite my best efforts, I can't even catch one fish. So after about 15 minutes of failure, I decide to try somewhere else. And, I am glad I did. Right away I start getting bites, and catching fish. I easily catch a bunch of bluegill. I would rather leave and catch something, rather than stay and catch nothing. So a ZERO fish day turned into a 6 fish day. Fishing with a float rig is a quick way to check for bluegill in any area.
