Realistic Fishing REVIEW of a New Ultralight Fishing Lure!!
Trying new fishing lures is always a gamble, especially when they claim to be designed specifically for ultralight fishing. In this video I put the new Dangly Tail from i_fish Tackle to the test to find out if it actually catches fish or if it’s just another soft plastic with a fancy name.
Rigged on a lightweight finesse jig head, the lure casts easily on ultralight tackle and has a thin tail that stays active with very little movement. After spending some time working it around the shoreline, it starts producing exactly what I was hoping for. Along with several bluegill, I hook into an impressive nine-inch fish that really shows what this little bait can do.
If you enjoy ultralight fishing or simply want an easy lure that catches panfish consistently, this review gives you a realistic look at how it performs on the water instead of just talking about it in the studio.

Remember These Bass Fishing Locations? Can I Catch Bass Here?
Every fisherman has those old spots they remember catching fish at for years. The question is whether those places still produce today. In this trip I head back to several familiar bank fishing locations to find out if they still hold largemouth bass.
The day gets off to a great start with a Texas-rigged soft plastic and a Crackin’ Craw. Before long I’m landing bass again, proving these old spots haven’t completely lost their magic. At another location I notice something has changed—the weed growth that used to hold fish is mostly gone. After spending some time searching, I finally locate a small patch of grass, and that’s where another bass decides to bite.
It’s a good reminder that fish don’t always disappear completely. Sometimes their location changes with the available cover, and finding that remaining habitat can make all the difference.

Summer Bass Fishing With Topwater + Baitcaster Bluegill Fishing
This trip combines two techniques you don’t often see together: float fishing for bluegill with a baitcaster and topwater fishing for largemouth bass. It might sound unusual, but it turns into one of those fun summer outings where experimenting actually pays off.
I begin by fishing a weighted cigar float with a small jig and quickly put several quality bluegill in the mix. After that, it’s time to switch gears completely. I pick up a topwater lure, cover shoreline quickly, and finish the trip with a pair of largemouth bass before calling it a day.
Sometimes it’s worth mixing techniques instead of spending the whole trip targeting one species. Summer fishing often rewards anglers who stay flexible and enjoy whatever happens to be biting.

I NEVER Fish For THESE! (Fishing For CARP at Lake Nunya!)
Carp aren’t something I normally target, which is exactly why this trip turned out to be so much fun. Fishing alongside i_fish at Lake Nunya, we start the day catching a variety of species before changing our approach once the rain begins.
The action includes yellow bass, largemouth bass, and a channel catfish before the biggest surprise of the day finally arrives—a solid carp weighing around five pounds. Since I rarely fish for carp, landing one felt like catching a completely different kind of trophy.
This video shows that sometimes the best fishing trips happen when you stop focusing on one species and simply enjoy whatever the lake decides to give you.

Can I Catch A Fish On THIS? Subscriber Fishing Lure Challenge!
One of the best parts of running this channel is trying gear that viewers send in, and this colorful homemade-style worm definitely caught my attention. The challenge was simple: could I actually catch a fish on it?
Things don’t go as planned at first. Fishing it weightless on a Texas rig doesn’t produce any bites, so instead of giving up, I make a small adjustment and rig the bait on a jig head. That simple change is enough to trigger a largemouth bass. With the challenge complete, I switch over to catch several jumbo bluegill and finish the day on a high note.
This trip is another reminder that presentation often matters just as much as the lure itself. Sometimes changing the rig is all it takes to make an unusual bait come alive.

BEST of The WORST Day of Fishing! Plus Yamamoto Senkos For YOU!
Not every fishing trip deserves a full episode, and sometimes the best thing you can do is laugh at a tough day on the water. This video takes the highlights from one of my slowest outings and turns them into something worth sharing.
The fishing itself wasn’t much to brag about, although I did manage to snag a lure instead of catching fish. Rather than letting the day go completely to waste, I use the opportunity to announce the winners of three packs of Yamamoto Senkos from a previous giveaway.
Realistic Fishing has always been about showing the good days and the bad ones. Even when the fish refuse to cooperate, there’s usually still a story to tell, something to learn, or a chance to give back to the people who keep watching every week.
