I went crappie fishing and caught exactly what I wanted! Now is a good time to fish for crappie from the bank with success. I am fishing with a very easy crappie rig consisting of a one inch artificial minnow lure on a jig head. That’s it! I catch a big crappie in the 12 to 13 inch range on my first cast! I also catch a bunch of bluegill, and a big skipjack. Then, before I leave, I caught another big crappie. I was trying to bank fish for crappie but got this surprise catch instead. I start out fishing today with an easy float rig consisting of a float, a small jig head, and a Gulp minnow. I get a lot of bites from small fish that are difficult to hook. Then I catch a bluegill, big enough to eat my minnow. Ater removing the float, I end up catching more bluegill, a bass, a shellcracker, and the surprise catch, a skipjack. This is a big skipjack around 15 or 16 inches. The Fishing went from zero to awesome in about four minutes! I caught a lot of fish after making this small change. I started out fishing with a new lure, just to try it. But after a while I went to my confidence lure, the Gulp Minnow. I couldn’t even get a bite on that! But then, I removed the float and BAM, fish after fish! Are There ANY FISH LEFT In November? (Real Bank Fishing In Fall)
Are there any fish left in November? Because the bank fishing is anything but extreme right now. The secret to catch fish right now is to grind it out at several locations until you actually find fish. I start out with the hand painted crankbait but I strike out. I suspect a smaller lure like a Gulp Minnow might catch more fish, but its also a bust at the first location. After moving to another spot, I finally catch a couple yellow bass, but it ain’t much. I am out here grinding so you don’t have to. #fall #fishing
