I try a crankbait and catch another skipjack herring, but not in the typical way. After switching back to the gulp minnow rig, I catch a couple more skipjack. I even try to use one as bait! Now it the best time for topwater! The topwater bass fishing is on fire. I fished two different lakes in two days and I caught bass at both lakes on topwater! I am fishing with a Rebel topwater popper and the bass are biting. Yesterday I caught two bass in the evening. And today, I caught two more in the morning! The first bass was caught next to the dock at the boat ramp. It weighed about 1.5 lbs. The second bass was bigger and almost three pounds. After fishing for bluegill for a while with no catches, I change lures to a topwater popper. Then I catch a beautiful largemouth bass that weigs about two pounds! As the sun goes down I catch another bass on the Rebel Pop-R! I couldn’t catch any bluegill today, but I did catch two largemouth bass. We all know the bass bro pros won’t show you the struggle, but Realistic Fishing will! My fishing spots are toast and I am not afraid to show it. Today I had to grind it out just to catch two fish. I caught a small largemouth bass on a wacky rigged stick worm. I also tried fishing with a weightless fluke, but couldn’t get a bite. Then I switched to the desperation rig on an untralight to try and catch anything at all. I end up with one more fish, a big bluegill. When the fish won’t bite, you can make your own fishing lures instead! I went fishing this morning but it was so HOT out. I couldn’t even catch a fish on a Texas Rig. It ended up being 97 degrees! So instead of wasting time and boiling outside, I head to the studio to make some lures. I am nearly done painting the shad pattern crankbait. I am finally putting the clearcoat on after two previous painting sessions. I am painting these lures without an airbrush. Designing My Own Bass Fishing Lures! (Cheap & Easy For Beginners)
Today I am designing my own bass fishing lures! It’s cheap and easy enough for beginners. The product is called Shakespeare Customize It and I bought them for two dollars per package. It includes a lipless crankbait, a flat side crankbait and a topwater popper. The lures come with no piant on them so you can design them yourself. I am experimenting with nail polish and clear coat to start with and we will see how it goes. Designing my own lures and one day catching a fish on it sounds like so much fun. Learning how to make lures at home is now cheap, and it should be fun for anyone, including beginners! #fishing #realistic
