Weedless Ned Rig Fishing for Bass – Guaranteed To Catch Bass??
Is the weedless ned rig guaranteed to catch bass? I usually do pretty well when fishing with a typical ned rig. But I am having trouble hooking bass on this specific ned rig jig head. Today I tried to bend the hook and open the gap. The problem is, I Can’t Get a BITE! It’s like fishing in the amazon rain forest out here in Tennessee. I stuch with the weedless ned rig the whole time and caught zero largemouth bass. I will have to try it again, conquer the weedless ned head, and land a bass. But is it guaranteed? Hell no.

Today I try fishing with a weedless Ned Rig! Is this version of the ned rig better than a typical ned rig? I start out the morning with a ZMan finesse TRD. I notice right away that there isn’t much hook gap due to the compact design of this ned head. I decide to try the rig anyway. I get a bite while standing out on the log, and another bite in open water. I miss both fish! Not wanting to lose any more bass, I switch the the regular ned rig. Not long after that I catch my first largemouth bass. I revisit the log, and catch another. The weedless ned rig might be better around cover, but its hard to hook the fish.
