Today I am bass fishing with a bluegill crankbait and Texas rigs. The lipless crankbait I am throwing today has a bluegill pattern. I start out fishing it in open water without much success. But as soon as I cast alongside the dock, I hook into a big bass weighing about 3 pounds. I love the feeling of a bass grabbing a crankbait. After switching to a Texas rig and moving to the other side of the lake, I catch another largemouth bass weighing about 1 pound. If you have a chance to go bass fishing this spring, maybe try a bluegill pattern crankbait. If you catch get a bit on that, maybe a Texas Rig.
