I am Not catching 2 pound bluegill all day! Today I’m fishing a Gulp Minnow vs a 1 inch swimbait. I was told my bluegill are tiny, but I don’t care. I am out here catching the fish that are in front of me. I catch a good variety of bluegill on the first lure, a 1 inch gulp minnow. After switching to the swimbait, I continue catching bluegill. It looks like both of these lures catch bluegill. I believe the Gulp minnows out-fished the swimbaits, but not by much. Now is a good time to go fishing for bluegill, even if you don’t catch two pound bluegill all day.
