Here are some fishing tips to catch more bass on bank fishing rigs! Today I am fishing for bass from the bank with a wacky rig. I hook into my first fish on the second cast. As I try to get it to the bank, it ops off. Shortly after that I hook into another bass, this one is larger. But it also comes off right at the bank! After losing two fish, I decide to change my hook. Realistic Fishing Tip: Change to a larger hook on your wacky rig if you are missing fish. The late summer fishing for bass has been tough! The high temperatures are making fish hard to find from the bank. I went fishing at two locations today and only caught two fish. The first catch was a quarter pound largemouth bass. The second catch at a different lake was a longear sunfish. Today I am out bank fishing for summer bass in the weeds. When its hot outside, the weeds are a great place to fish for bass. I start out fishing with a Texas rigged crawfish. I cast the YUM craw around for a while, but I don't catch anything. Then I decide to downsize to a 1/16th oz Texas Rig. I also switch out reels and go with the Ozark Trail Baitcast reel. It doesn't take long before I catch a sunfish. Then I hook into a beautiful largemouth bass! I even catch a couple more small fish. I am out here fishing with Texas Rigs and Swimbaits, and This Lure saved the day! Bank fishing for bass and even bluegill has been difficult lately. The fish seemed so active just a few days ago. But you can only fish the day you have, so its time to change things up until you start catching some. I start with a Texas Rig and catch nothing. I switch to a jerkbait hoping to attract a bit from a bass or even a big panfish. I manage one bluegill in 40 minutes! Finally after switching to the one inch swimbait, I am able to catch both bass and bluegill.
