Summer Bank Fishing Thrills: Topwater Bass & Ultralight Random Spot Catches

Ultralight Fishing at a Random Fishing Spot! (Side of the Road)

I’m trying something new—ultralight fishing at a random spot I found on a map, right off the main road in Kingston, Tennessee. Started with my Realistic Fishing Desperation Rig and caught two Bluegill. Then switched to a confidence rig—a small swimbait—and hooked a small Largemouth Bass. Didn’t fill the net, but catching both Bluegill and Bass on my first try at a new bank spot felt like a win. Challenge yourself to hit a random spot and test your ultralight skills! The Desperation Rig got those Bluegill biting fast, and the swimbait sealed the deal with that Bass. Bank fishing at new spots keeps things fresh, especially with ultralight gear that’s cheap and easy for beginners. Summer’s a great time to explore. Ever fished a random spot you found on a whim? What’d you catch?

Random Spot Results:

  • Desperation Rig: Two Bluegill caught.
  • Small Swimbait: One small Largemouth Bass.
  • New Spot: Success on first try with ultralight gear.

Best & Biggest Bass on TOPWATER! – Best Day of Bass Fishing (Cont.)

This is my best Bass fishing day of the year, and it’s all thanks to a topwater popper! I landed four Largemouth Bass, including a four-pounder that’s my biggest yet. The shad-pattern popper was the secret, drawing strikes when other lures failed. In my last video, I caught two Bass, and this time I added two more, including that beast. Fishing from the bank in summer, this popper’s a game-changer for any angler waiting for their big day. The popper’s action in shallow water was irresistible to those Bass, especially the four-pounder that made the trip. Bank fishing with topwater’s thrilling and doesn’t need fancy gear—just a steady retrieve. If you’re chasing your best Bass day, grab a popper and hit the bank. What’s your biggest Bass this year?
